Made the Same Way in the USA For More Than
150 Years
The Choice For History and Accuracy
In a powder mill in the piney woods of north
Louisiana, workers carry on the tradition of generations of American
black powder makers, grinding out granules of black powder at the
GOEX Black Powder Plant. It is a tradition that GOEX proudly assumed
from one of America's pioneer black powder producers, E.I. Dupont.
And just as its predecessor was once the largest powder producer
in America, GOEX stands proud today to carry on the tradition as
North America's only producer of black powder. The mill's workers,
several of them third-generation powder hands, bring the expertise
and experience of their fathers and grandfathers to the process.
Black powder earned a place in history
as the powder that provided food and security to keep frontier settlers
alive and later for its vital role in defense of freedom in two World
Wars and the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. The same superior formulation
that catapulted DuPont to the pinnacle of powder production in 1810
and supplied military might for the USA is the basis for the GOEX
powders preferred by black powder sports shooters and industry users
today.
Those who love history and black
powder shooting rely on the quality and tradition of GOEX shooting
powders. The most trusted name in black powder continues to produce
high quality black powder to the most rigorous and precise specifications
for hunters, competition shooters and re-enactors, as well as fireworks
and safety fuse makers, specialty manufacturers, the mining industry
and the military. The tradition continues with an extended line of
powder products to meet the modern-day needs of black powder sports
shooters and industry.
