BLASTING POWDER
Sodium nitrate-based
"B" blasting powders are used for dimensional stone blasting
where a minimal shattering effect is required. Years ago blasting
powders were used extensively in the coal mining industry. Today
it is used typically in the United States for precision stonecutting
of marble, granite, and slate. These powders are available in 4
granulations.

COMMERCIAL FUSE POWDER
 Fuse
powders are manufactured to specified burn rates for the desired
speed of initiation. It is typically spun (internationally) into
fuse cord (for non-electrical blast initiation systems) and used
to initiate other explosives in commercial mining. Domestically,
several companies use fuse black powder to manufacture initiating
fuses for firework applications.
